Course...
The
end of season course is ideal for time pressed people
unable to dedicate 3 months to a Peak Leaders course.
Whether
you're on a gap year, time out or career break; whether
you want to get into the outdoor leisure industry or just improve
your technique, you'll have high quality Peak Leaders
staff there to help you quickly improve your all mountain
riding skills and understanding.
You will experience
some of the finest biking terrain on 2 huge mountains in Canada's #1 resort and party town for 8 focused weeks. You'll
train to become a mountain biking instructor and leader with the
option of a qualification and have plenty
of time to party with people who'll become friends for
life.

Course outline...
Day one, you'll get a welcome talk / overview from your course leader and your instructors followed by a mountain familiarisation tour. The next day will be straight into instructor level 1 preparation and video playback sessions. Top Canadian instructors from the Whistler Gravity Logic School will train you 4 days a week.
Through the 4-day practical based courses, riders will cover topics such as Teaching & Guiding Theory, Riding Skills, Theory & Demonstrating and Client Safety & Satisfaction in both cross-country and downhill settings. With daily evaluations, video analysis & feedback, it's also the best value coaching course out there.

covers mountain biking skills, repairs and cycle set-up, navigation and leadership.

First Aid Course:

The Emergency First Aid course covers: emergency action principles; airway and breathing emergencies; cardiovascular emergencies/strokes; CPR; bleeding management; shock and prevention of disease transmission. |

Whistler is known as one of the most beautiful places on Earth and ski magazines voted it the no.1 ski resort in North America in 2005. It's also been selected to host the 2010 Alpine & Nordic Olympic Games.
Accommodation & Food...
Peak Leaders stay in comfortable houses within easy reach of the lifts and town centre. Accommodation includes twin rooms, excellent kitchen, living area and bathrooms with all the usual mod cons including hot tub or sauna.

In Whistler the choice of après is huge - fifty bars and restaurants set in a car free village awash with great shopping. You can also visit downtown Vancouver easily and cheaply by Greyhound bus to watch for example the Vancouver Canucks ice hockey matches at their 20,000 seat 'General Motors Place' facility.
