Peak Leaders partner with the NZ Snow Academy using Coronet Peak for the majority of the training along with many trips to The Remarkables. Both mountains are owned by the same company and use the same lift pass. Coronet Peak is renowned for some of the best, most consistent and varied terrain in Australasia. It hosts the FIS Southern Cup (ski slalom & giant slalom) and is the choice of the NZ national race team for training. There are two terrain parks: one with loads of different rails, boxes and jumps, and one with several smaller jumps and a halfpipe. Even when the sun goes down the action never stops; night Skiing (exclusive to Coronet Peak) allows skiers and riders to continue into the night.
The Remarkables offers both exciting freeride faces and chutes and (new in 2007) a multi-million dollar investment to upgrade their terrain park by building a superpipe, big and small jumps a wall ride and a wide range of rails and boxes. They also host The Stash at The Remarkables which is only the third run of its kind worldwide and the first in the Southern Hemisphere.
Created by Jake Burton and the Burton team riders, The Stash is an evolution of freestyle terrain in the ultimate natural environment. The kilometer long run provides riders with an organic, big mountain terrain park that follows the natural lines of the mountain.
Both mountains are well known for their infra-structure and professionalism. On Coronet Peak and the Remarkables we are hosted by NZSKI, the biggest mountain resort operator in NZ. Peak Leaders is delighted to be working with this top company and their world class instructors and facilities.
You are provided with a full season pass to both resorts!
At the end of the course, we'll be spending some days at the SnowPark, one of the world's best ski and snowboard terrain parks. Watch Ski Sunday taking a visit there to find out more...Stay tuned for more info!
